    Please take note that our self-catering rondawel is open plan and a round brick building with a thatch roof with a double bed, ¾ bed, kitchen (fridge, hotplate, microwave oven, kettle, cutlery, cookery, etc.) and an en-suite bathroom with a shower and sleeps max 3 persons . The Rondawel has its own braai area.

    Please take note that both levels of the self-catering guest house are open plan (no separate rooms). On the bottom Level: Veranda with a built-in-braai. It has a full kitchen, bathroom with a shower, double bed, two single beds and dining table.
    Upper Level: Lounge, double bed, two 3/4 beds, bathroom with two showers and a wooden deck on top.

Bananien Lodge is situated 7km from the CBD of Sabie on the Hazyview (R536) road adjacent to the Sabie River and equipped with 6 thatched roof log cabins and one thatched roof rondavel and a self catering guest house.

Bananien Lodge is developed by owners Maggie and Pieter Nortje for that personal touch.

Nestling in scenic and indigenous bush and water fall, has combined comfort and natural surroundings to create a retreat of tranquility.

The lodge provides a base for unforgettable African experience in self-catering thatched roof cabins and a rondavel sleeps up to four persons each and has a braai area.

Come and enjoy our hospitality while you relax and cool of with a sundowner on the wooden deck of you log cabins.

Take time to enjoy the leisure and peaceful ambiance of poolside relax with splash pool for toddlers with the soothing sounds of the waterfall.

Bananien Lodge is also a bird watchers paradise. kitchen and an en-suite bathroom with a bath in and sleeps up to 4 persons
each. The rondavel do have a big shower in.We do no supply towels, please bring own towels.

Tours Our guide is THETA (Tourism, Hospitality Education Training Authority) accredited, registered tourist guide and will accompany each tour group. Our guide are highly qualified and experienced in both guiding and managing of tours and carry a relevant PDP (Public Drivers Permit). All travel will take place in a luxury 8 seater air-conditioned Kombi which carry a Certificate of Fitness and Road Transport permit.
